Who is Nate

Self-Taught, Never Satisfied

Nate McNeely is a self-taught director and editor whose career began with a simple high school elective and has since grown into a full-time profession. Driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, his cinematography sharpens with every project — he consistently steps beyond his comfort zone to explore new creative boundaries within the world of cinema.

Perspective

Shaped by the World

Nate's ability to craft visual stories that land the right emotion at the right moment comes from the perspectives he has gathered travelling the world. Having visited four of seven continents and experienced a wide range of viewpoints and lifestyles firsthand, he understands how a single idea can hold many interpretations — and he brings that insight to every edit, using camera angles, color and music to find the feeling each story needs.

Roots

Mountain Man

Nate's passion for adventure pulls him around the globe, but his favorite place to return to is where his roots lie — the Rocky Mountains of Western Canada. Beyond cinematography, he spends as much time as possible outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing and camping. Surrounded by mountains and stars is where he feels most at home.
